Responsibilities

Levering both business and informatics knowledge, the role of the Senior Business Systems Analyst is to bridge the gap between Information Technology and the organization to streamline operational systems and workflows.  Engaging with key stakeholders from multiple departments to gather and analyze requirements, while recommending best practices, system controls, protocols, and business process improvements.  Additionally, the analyst will work closely with application owners and/or third-party vendors to implement technical solutions which support and maintain business processes. This role with have leadership capacity in mentoring and providing guidance to other business systems analysts.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for the management of the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of Newport Healthcare's Business applications
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and provide guidance to users on methods for correcting reported issues.
  • Manages completion of root cause analysis to identify solutions that address the true source of issues and gaps. 
  • Responsible for the management of applications, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction to achieve a high level of functionality, usability, and integration.
  • Leads as a business partner to analyze business processes anticipating requirements and opportunities while proposing solutions to gain efficiencies in workflow.
  • Responsible for the delivery of business requirements to ensure improved user experiences, reduced cost, and considers productivity impacts as it pertains to business processes/workflow. 
  • Partner with business to translate needs into definable project work items; manage business application projects through agile project management. Monitors project progress by tracking activity.
  • Manage reviews of current system functions, procedures, and capabilities to identify issues and recommend process improvements with primary stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the review of new applications and enhancements to ensure usability by business stakeholders and delivers formal recommendations of solutions.
  • Partners with stakeholders to determine required references and documentation for system procedures, providing support, coordinating user training, responsible for management of user documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree + four (4) years relevant experience OR;
  • Associate Degree + five (5) years relevant experience OR;
  • Seven years relevant experience.
  • Makes decisions and works independently.
  • Leadership capacity and subject matter expert.
  • Experience in ticket/issue tracking system; and strong understanding of project and change management tools and methodologies such as DevOps.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Must have experience working simultaneously with multiple teams and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent technical writing/documentation skills and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively with a large remote team.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
