Responsibilities

The Operations Director actively partners with the program’s leader(s) to provide effective management of both administrative and clinical matters.  This position will focus on key areas of the business, including the functions of managing and creating a successful team, regulatory requirements and licensing, service excellence, finance, business development, marketing, and admissions.  The Operations Director articulates and operationalizes Newport’s mission, vision and values on a daily basis and incorporates the organizational values into everyday decision-making.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Plan, organize, and implement routine operations elements as well as opportunity focused initiatives.
  • Assess the needs of the program and staff and proactively address concerns and suggest improvements.
  • Knowledgeable of Joint Commission standards and licensing regulations and ensure that the program is operated according to Newport’s policies, procedures and standards in addition to the JC standards and state regulations.
  • Responsible for daily rounding with staff and connecting with onsite teams.
  • Oversee aspects of local operations, including residential, clinical, facilities, nursing, and culinary, and collaborate with admissions, clinical outreach, utilization review, and alumni operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring the operations achieve the key performance indicators of client/family/referent satisfaction, treatment completion, employee turnover, and operation EBIDTA.
  • Participate in preparing and analyzing KPI reports. Utilize KPI data and observations from being present with staff and managers to identify opportunities and propose strategies and tactics for maximizing the opportunity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Licensed in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work required.
  • Two years or more of relevant clinical experience with adolescents, young adults, and families, with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disordered populations.
  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
  • Must have experience as a Program Director, Executive Director or Clinical and Operations Manager within an RTC, acute psychiatric hospital, a large psychiatric unit of an acute care hospital or other behavioral health treatment environment.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
  • Working knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing frameworks.

Salary Range for this position is $123,040/yr - $143,500/yr
